Your Song, Your Story / Center For Grieving Children
Billy Libby, a local Singer-Songwriter, founded this program to help children who have experienced a loss or trauma write and perform their own songs. It was a treat to help support this project with the Multicultural Program at the Center in the Spring of 2012 and perform as part the Multicultural Community Night performance at One Longfellow Square in Portland, ME.

As a volunteer facilitator in a teen bereavement group, I have learned so much about deep listening, group facilitation and honoring the process. It has been a joy to bring music, songwriting and various art projects to the Center.

Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine
Turns out kids love banjos. And shaking shakers while singing along to songs of all kinds. I’ve loved volunteering at the Children’s Museum every couple months with different interactive music programs from old-time musical chairs to an Earth Day sing-a-long.
Check the gig calendar for my next museum program.

I am honored to be part of a Children’s Museum grant that will fund a music and songwriting program to the museum in the Spring of 2014. Stay tuned!

Assisted Living Facilities
I’m thrilled to get to share some jazz and old-time tunes with the crew over at Fallbrook Woods in Portland and the Gorham House in Gorham every few months. It is a gift to witness the power of music to conjure up memories and set tapping feet into action. They tell me I always brighten their day and I tell them they always brighten mine.
